Our Story

The Social Smoke Heritage

Thermal Charcoal is owned and operated by the founders of Social Smoke. With over 20 years of experience manufacturing premium hookah tobacco in the USA, we understand flavor better than anyone. But we learned early on that even the best tobacco can be ruined by inconsistent heat.

Solving the Heat Problem

We saw a gap in the market: charcoal brands were inconsistent, often producing ash that smothered flavor or heat that spiked unpredictably. We launched Thermal Charcoal to control the variable of heat, ensuring a session that honors the tobacco it burns.

Density & Compression

Ash is the enemy of airflow. By compressing our briquettes to a specific density, we ensure they hold their shape and produce a fine, grey ash that falls away easily, rather than clogging the airflow.

We do not cut down trees to make Thermal Charcoal. We utilize coconut shells, a byproduct of the coconut oil and food industries, transforming waste into premium energy.
